Los Almendros By Laws

Home | For new Owners | Overview | By Laws | For Sale or Rent

The bylaws are the officials rules governing life at the association. They were drawn up when the association was first created and are on the file with the commonwealth of Puerto Rico. The bylaws establish the prevailing rules for unit owners. They call for the existence of a board of directors to execute and uphold the bylaws. The bylaws can only be changed by a vote of the entire association.

The bylaws establish rules for everything including how many cars you can park, definitions of common elements, limits on pets, limits to the number of persons in a unit, limits on vehicles, restrictions on short term rentals and many, many other details. The bylaws also establish the penalties for failure to abide by the bylaws.

Your attorney should have provided you with a copy at your closing when you purchased your home. This is an important document which everyone should have and should review.
