Guidelines For Use of The Hallways and Stairwell Storage Areas

The hallways and stairwells are limited common areas and are subject to control by the Council of
Owners. To assure ease of access and maintenance, and to control appearance, their use is restricted
   as follows:

    1. Use by an owner of the hallway for decorative purposes is restricted to the wall and floor areas
next to their apartment. The restricted floor is approximately six feet square and bounded by the
entrance door, the apartment and hallway walls, and by the expansion joint in the floor/ceiling of
         the hallway.

     2. Use of potted plants or small trees is permitted in the designated area, but they must be fitted with
trays or plates to prevent damage to the walls and floors by water or plant overgrowth.

     3. Owners using the designated areas for potted plants or trees are responsible for the maintenance
and cleaning of the floor area, and for any damage caused by this use.

     4. Wall decorations covering more than one half of the adjacent wall area are not acceptable.

     5. Storage of any item outside the designated hallway area is not acceptable and is in violation of the
         fire codes.

     6. Kayaks, surf/paddle boards, and bicycles are the only items that can be stored in the first floor
         stairwells.

     7. Any item not meeting these guidelines must be removed by the owner at the direction of the
Council of Owners. Written notice of violations will be sent by the Administrator.
